Nalbari After the establishment of an Assam Bengal Railway station in Nalbari, it rapidly began to develop an urban outlook. It became a subdivision under Kamrup in 1967 and a full-fledged district in 1985. The Nalbaria language comes under the Kamrupi dialect. Gurdon is the oldest school in Nalbari. The literacy rate of Nalbari is 74%. The Nalbaria language is famous all over Assam for its accent. The main river of Nalbari is the Pagladiya.
